What is Autosave?
Autosave is a valuable feature that automatically saves your progress at regular intervals, without requiring manual input (although we do still support the option to manually save your work ). The main advantages of autosave:
- Prevents Data Loss - Autosave reduces the risk of losing important work due to unexpected events like power failures or crashes, saving users from having to redo large amounts of work.
- Accidental closure: If a program closes unexpectedly or a user accidentally quits, autosave ensures that recent changes aren't lost.
How will I know if my work has automatically saved?
- Autosave activates up to 5 seconds after your last interaction.
- You will see a very brief change to the autosave symbol
when autosave is triggered, indicating that your work has been saved
- If you move away from the page before autosave has had time to run, you will not lose your work, your work will be saved and the following message will appear.
What happens if more than one person is editing the same record?
- Our system is equipped to notice when more than one person is trying to edit the same record at the same time.
- By selecting OK on the warning message, the system will take you back to the screen you were working on, it is advisable that you copy any information you do not want to lose before discarding the changes.
